Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), indeks harga konsumen (IHK) Papua secara month to month pada Agustus 2025 mengalami deflasi minus 0,93 persen

Jayapura (ANTARA) – Penjabat Gubernur Papua Agus Fatoni meminta seluruh kepala daerah di sembilan kabupaten dan kota untuk konsisten menggelar Gerakan Pangan Murah (GPM) sebagai langkah menjaga stabilitas harga dan daya beli masyarakat.

"Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), indeks harga konsumen (IHK) Papua secara month to month pada Agustus 2025 mengalami deflasi minus 0,93 persen. Sedangkan secara year on year, Papua mengalami inflasi sebesar 0,54 persen," kata Agus Fatoni di Jayapura, Rabu.

Menurut Agus, deflasi Agustus dipengaruhi sejumlah komoditas dan tarif, di antaranya angkutan udara, ikan tuna, tomat, ikan mumar, buah pinang, ikan kawalina, kangkung, ikan cakalang, biaya sekolah menengah atas, biaya kuliah, bensin dan telepon seluler.

"IHK pada Agustus 2025 ini, di mana pencapaian yang cukup baik namun harus terus diperhatikan agar semua stabil baik harga maupun daya beli masyarakat," ujarnya.

Dia menjelaskan, pencapaian tersebut menunjukkan konsistensi pemerintah dalam menjaga stabilitas harga di Provinsi Papua.

Untuk itu, pihaknya menegaskan upaya menjaga stabilitas harga harus terus dilakukan, termasuk dengan memperluas pelaksanaan GPM. Dengan menggelar pangan murah serentak di 18 distrik pada sembilan kabupaten/kota di Papua.

Dia menambahkan, karena kegiatan GPM tidak hanya memastikan ketersediaan dan keterjangkauan pangan, tetapi juga membantu masyarakat memperoleh harga lebih terjangkau.

“Dengan kondisi ini, kami optimistis harga tetap terjaga dan kerja sama antar daerah semakin kuat. Pasar murah yang dilaksanakan rutin akan mendukung stabilitas harga sekaligus menjaga daya beli masyarakat,” ujarnya.
